The Patrick Kavanagh Western Assoc. (PKWA) and the Galway Percy French Society first joined forces in 2012 to stage an animated Literary concert loosely based on the Patrick Kavanagh poem, Memories of Christmas Childhood. Both groups have performed many joint events in the intervening years .
2018 Bloomsday Special
Bloomsday celebrates 16th June 1904, the day the action of James Joyce’s novel, Ulysses took place. On 16th June 1954 literary friends set out to recreate this event which became the first Bloomsday
This special concert was staged on 16th June 2018 in An Taibhdhearch to commemorate Bloomsday in Galway .

World War 1 Commemorative Concerts – Keep the Home Fires Burning
On the 100th anniversary of World War 1, these concerts first staged in Galway in 2014 and 2015 . It consists of a haunting and varied programme of music, dance, song and story .
